Please Share Emails & Contact Information

Please post information (emails, contact information) regarding possible organizations that you believe could contribute to our Human Rights Week celebration (at least three entries per student).

We are in the process of creating a comprehensive email list of local NGOs, churches, and other organizations to make sure we have a good amount of participation from local communities.

Your participation is very important to make sure we can include as many local organizations and community members as possible.

TABLE (a non-profit working to feed hungry children): Joy MacVane- joymacvane@aol.com

United Church of Chapel Hill (I don't personally know anyone there, but have been to a few services and this seems like something they would be interested in, the phone number is just the congregation number) (919) 942-3540

School of Public Health- I am a student in this school and they may be interested in getting involved and this could boost graduate student involvement- I would contact Dr. Rimer at brimer@email.unc.edu. She is the Dean of the school and so it may not be appropriate to contact her directly, however someone in her office could maybe pass it along.

hey y'all,
I am in the ch-hri group and I have been a little sick for about a week. Something I'm trying to shake and not give to any of you. I am working on trying to get shirts made with the human rights logo on them.

http://www.piedmonthealth.org/english/carrboro.htm

these came off my website at www.wakewomenempowered.org.
so, many links are geared toward wake county residents.
womenspace is in chapel hill, and is an amazing resource. piedmont health operates in carrboro, providing services on a sliding scale.
anyone interested in women's issues should check out ASHA (there's a link to it on wwe, but they are mainly out of the UK, so not applicable to this posting)
